What is IELTS?

The English language testing system is English language proficiency test. It is a very popular test for higher education or worldwide migration. Every year million of people take the test.

It is designed by experts to evaluate all of your English skills like reading listening writing and speaking and results that how you will use English at work, study or your new life in abroad


If you are planning to study abroad or work you have to take this exam. It will be a proof that you are a good or exceptional English user. IELTS is accepted by over 9,000 organizations globally, Like universities, schools, universities, employers and for immigration.


IELTS has two categories.

  • IELTS for general training
  • IELTS Academic.

IELTS Academic Preparation:

In this article, we will discuss academic IELTS preparation.We will cover following points.

4 Modules of IELTS Academic:


It is a 60 minutes test. You will be given headphones and a question paper. The question paper is divided into 3 parts (60 questions) and you have to answer what you will listen on headphones.

You will be given extra 10 minutes to write your answers on the answer sheet.

1: Fill a form.
2: Complete diagram/Map
3: Fill in the blanks.
4: Short questions
5: Discussion between people related to any topic.

Listen carefully
Guess if you don’t know any answer
Write all the answers
Move to next question if you couldn’t answer the previous one.

Don’t lose your concentration
Don’t be confused


It is 60 minutes test, with two parts (questions). You will be given 20 minutes for the first question and 40 minutes for the second question.

Part 1: Report Writing:

In question one, you have to write a report on given scenario. It could be a

1: Diagram
2: Pie chart
3: Line chart
4: Bar chart
5: Process

All above mention charts have the different vocabulary and be careful while you are writing a report because if you will write the wrong vocabulary you will lose marks.

Part 2: Essay Writing:

In question two you will be given a question to write an essay, You have to read question carefully and make valid points then write because your valid points and counterpoint will lead to you gain maximum score

N.B. this question contains more scores than question one, So you must concentrate on this question while attempting your paper.


Speaking is like a normal interview. It is a one to one interview. It has three parts.
1: General questions about you.

2: You will be given a cue card, and you will be given 1 minute to make notes after that you will have 2 minutes to talk on a topic given on cue card.

3: Discussion related to cue card.

Be confident
Use proper vocabulary
Use proper transitional words
Give complete answers.

Don’t use wrong pronunciation.


In this module, you will be given 3 parts, 60 question (13 question in each part). Reading is a bit critical but trust me it is the most fun part of IELTS. you will be given 60 minutes to solve all question.
